Pros and cons of TransitTimes app for iPhone and iPad

TransitTimes app good for

I find this app very useful. It gave me option when Im trip planning. If I miss the bus I can quickly find out nearest bus to get there. With recent addition of labelling bus stop per transfer I bump it to five. Very useful and helpful in a pinch.
Im a new resident in Vancouver and this app has been an "angel"... so helpful and accurate... I recommend it !!
I was wondering when there would be an app like this. Now I finally have it.
This App combined with the use of Clock has fast become my most useful. I am a coffee-shop/computer nerd, and I live in Calgary. I read and use the iPad and computer a lot, going from home to coffee shop back home several times a day, and get very absorbed in what Im doing .. meaning hours can go by between times I am really aware of the world around me and what I actually planned to do. I wait for buses in coffee shops (coffee-stops) while grabbing a little more online/reading time. Being able to choose my coffee-stop then set the clock alarm to give me enough time to get from coffee-stop/home-stop to bus-stop, has changed my sense of lifestyle-well-being. Once favourite stops and routes are set up the app is a breeze to to use. Setting up favourites can be a bit of a pain when trying to find stops on long routes. A feature to select favourite stops visually would help a lot, but I am sure it is in the works. In fact a coffee-stop feature near target destinations ..... Clearly app depends on the quality of the available transit data, and Calgary Transit Trip Planning has serious problems, so I dont use that feature. But then almost all my trips are standard.
It is slow to load. It is more intuitive than the ETS system but not great for quick decision making. Gauge walking distances carefully because the app is inconsistent with recommendations. the ETD in minutes with the upgrade is helpful but really serves to inform how late the buses run.
Works well around Vancouver BC, very accessible for voice over users

Some bad moments

I use it for Toronto - it takes ages to show connections and then the first one is always in three (!) days at 6 am.
I just updated the app yesterday and now it is unable to view my current location (I have checked under privacy that it has access). Also some trips will give suggestions for catching the train at the same time that the bus arrives at the transit centre and thus never works.
Cant figure out why the 257. Horse Shoe Bay express bus does not show up in the schedule???? Any suggestions
After the latest update, the app can only show my stops but when I click on next bus, it doesnt show up anything. Which became useless.
Real time does not work in Vancouver most of the time, and that was the feature I bought the app for.
This app doesnt include most stops, it only includes main hubs and large stations. Its not useful for planning detailed trips and is only somewhat useful to those who already know the bus system. This is in Vancouver BC. Deleted the app.
